Misunderstanding 1: Change the oil at will
In terms of "drinking" engine oil, turbochargers are indeed more "squeaky". In addition to the larger volume than ordinary naturally aspirated engines, the requirements for oil are also higher. Because the design of the turbocharger is different from that of a naturally aspirated engine, its main shaft adopts a floating design, and the space between the turbine body and the main shaft is filled with oil. The entire main shaft relies on lubricating oil for heat dissipation and lubrication, while the viscosity of inferior oil High degree of liquidity and poor liquidity, unable to function well. It is recommended that car owners increase some investment in this area and replace the vehicle with fully synthetic engine oil.
Misunderstanding 2: Turn off the flame immediately at the destination
After the engine has been running under high load for a long time, the owner must idle for a few minutes before turning off the engine, so that the parts can be effectively cooled and lubricated. The behavior of turning off the vehicle immediately will make the vehicle idling at a high speed. The problem is the same as that of sudden acceleration, which will damage the bearing of the vehicle.
Misunderstanding three: hit the throttle as soon as you start
The ability to increase the speed in a short period of time is a major feature of turbocharged cars, but this does not mean that the owner can treat the car rudely. In fact, the turbocharger oil seal can be easily damaged by slamming the throttle just after starting. The turbocharged engine has a high number of revolutions. After starting the vehicle, you should not step on the accelerator pedal quickly. You should first idle for 3-5 minutes to allow the oil pump to have enough time to deliver the oil to all parts of the turbocharger. After the temperature rises slowly, the fluidity will be better, and the speed will be "like a fish in water" at this time.
Equipment replacement
How do we replace the diesel generator turbocharger, and what are the specific operating steps?
1. Clean the engine and replace the filter element. Drain the dirty oil, add 70% diesel and 30% engine oil to the engine, start the engine and run for 3 to 5 minutes to clean the engine and oil passages, and then drain. Add proper amount of engine oil and let it run after 5-10 minutes. Replace the oil filter element and the air filter element, and then filter and add clean lubricating oil to the full scale of the oil dipstick to ensure that the engine lubricating oil and oil passages are clean and clean.
2. Check the turbocharger. Check whether the new turbocharger model matches the engine. Rotate the turbocharger rotor by hand. It should run freely. If the impeller is stagnant or has a feeling of rubbing against the casing, find out the reason before installing it.
3. Check whether there are debris in the compressor intake pipe and the engine exhaust pipe before the turbine to prevent debris from damaging the impeller.
4. Check the oil inlet pipe and return pipe of the turbocharger. The oil inlet and return pipes of the turbocharger should be clean, and the oil inlet and return pipes should not be twisted and blocked. If a gasket is used for the oil inlet and return ports of the turbocharger, check whether the gasket is corroded or deformed. The gasket cannot block the oil inlet and return ports.
5. Pre-lubrication supercharger. The supercharger is installed on the engine and is not connected to the oil pipe for now. First, add clean oil into the supercharger from the supercharger oil inlet, and turn the rotor by hand to fill the supercharger bearing with lubricating oil before connecting the oil pipe .
6. Test run. Start the diesel engine, the oil pressure of the turbocharger oil inlet must be displayed within 3~4s to prevent the turbocharger bearing system from being damaged due to lack of lubricating oil. Run for 2 minutes, check whether the rotor is rotating smoothly and without noise, then stop and observe whether the rotor can run smoothly by inertia. Normally, it will stop after about half a minute.
8. When the engine is running under load, the oil pressure must be between 196~392kPa to be safe, and when the engine is running at idle speed, the oil pressure should not be lower than 70kPa.
9. The exhaust back pressure behind the turbine and the pressure drop of the air filter must not exceed 4.9kPa. The air filter element should be protected from moisture, because the wet filter element will significantly increase the pressure drop.
